Ornery Attitude Coffees Interview

By Interviewer at 06/30/09 15:44

Name of your website?

Ornery Attitude Coffees

Your name?

Dave

Your Location (city, etc)

Punta Gorda, Fishermen's Village

Please give us a short summary of your website?

A full description of the international gourmet coffees available at The Ornery Attitude Coffee Caffe in Fishermen's Village as well as through their web site.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Customer response to the vast number of origin coffees and flavored coffees available in whole bean and ground forms.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The web site was launched this year, 2009.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The website is simply a reflection and duplication of the coffee shop already operating.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The uniqueness of the coffees available in that there are over 150 flavors offered in either whole bean, ground, regular or decaf.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We are available to other retail outlets for the sale of our coffees as well as consumer preferences in buying our coffees for residential use.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

This is our fourteenth coffee enterprise and we remain very confident in the planning established for this business.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

WE would be the ultimate coffee authority in Southwest Florida, sought after for our knowledge of the coffee industry. We would impart this knowledge to the consumer and the coffee shop industry as well.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Experience dictates a comfortable response mechanism for any increase.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Adequate and thorough planning has not exposed us to any unexpected issues.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Controlling growth

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth to consumer and industry alike.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

There has been no significant change in expectations.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Since Jan 2009 we have been successful in our website operations and have no plans to discontinue this effort.

Why do so many small coffee shops fail?

Adequate planning and understanding of the market demographics they serve are frequently replace with emotional attraction to a dream instead of sound business principles.

What is your website address?
