Garden Sense Interview

By Interviewer at 07/25/09 12:26

Name of your website?

Garden Sense

Your name?

Sandra Clingerman

Your Location (city, etc)

Barbourville

Please give us a short summary of your website?

This web site is for those who love to garden. I try to keep things simple and easy. I will have stories, how to’s, tips and recipes. Gardening, canning, and freezing fresh vegetables.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

My husband thought it would be fun and interesting for me to do.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

June 2009. It's about gardening, recipes and gardening experiencs.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It's the name of our business

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I'm honest, down to earth. It's just the day-to-day stuff around here.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To help those who don't know much about gardening. It's an experience in iteself but to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors is a wonderful thing.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

My investmant is with my family. My time is with my family. Everything else has to balance with that or it doesn't belong. My success is what it is or isn't.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would have a co-op where everyone in the community had the opportunity to sell their homegrown goods at a decent price and walk away happy with their earnings while giving the community a good deal on the fresh produce they have bought.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would take the time to address any questions, issues, concerns or updates that came my way.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None

What has been your biggest challenge?

adsense

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Mom

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

There is a lot more involved in running a website than I thought there would be.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

3 weeks. I will keep this website up as long as people are interested.

What is your website address?

Garden Sense
