The Chef From Hell Food blog is a lively mix of American recipes, food commentary, food news, history and satire!

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

I'm a retired chef who likes to share his knowledge and experience as well as pursuing a career as a freelance writer

What blogging platform do you do and why?

Squarespace.com--because it has good templates, great service and consistent maintainence practices.

What do you blog the most about?

Cooking and Food.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Those with pornographic content.

Give five of your best blogging tips.

1. Focus on content over flashy web effects. 2. Be knowledgable about what you're writing about. 3. Proof-read your content carefully. 4. Don't post for the sake of posting---wait until you have something relevant to say.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Non-food subjects.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

No & I'm not making any money (yet).

How long have you been blogging?

7 months.

2 hours.

Yes. 5 feeds.

No. Not sure how it works.

No. Not sure how it works.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Word of mouth. You have to read my blog to appreciate it.

If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?

Not sure.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

Take your time to make sure every post is special and that it means something.

What are your top five blogging site picks and why?

Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?

Yes.

Why are the more established bloggers friendlier to bloggers who are just starting out?

Because they're very territorial and feel they don't want to share their internet visibility with newbies!
