Chef Shell P Personal Chef and Catering Services Interview

By Interviewer at 09/13/07 11:39

Name of your website?

Chef Shell P Personal Chef and Catering Services

Your name?

Shelley Pogue

Your Location (city, etc)

Austin

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Gourmet Personal Chef, Catering Services and Healthy Menu Planning. Chef Poge is a Le Cordon Bleu Graduate and also an Executive Chef in Westlake Hills.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted to get my own business started. I started doing personal chef work, and catering for some of the clients where I am currently employed. I wanted to explore and expand the services I am orrefing them. I am having a great time working with the food of course. and being able to satisfy them happy as well.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I guess about a year ago, and it is has stayed the same pretty much other than the pictures have change.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I was in school at the time and I wanted to start a personal chef company. I guess I played off of my name somewhat while shelling some English Peas. Chef Shell"ed" P"eas" = chefshellp

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I feel that I have gained some really great training from The Le Cordon Bleu. I am not saying that I have more of a love than any other chef in the business, because I think that we all have to have a passion for food to stay in the business. I just love what I do, and I really enjoy pleasing my clients. I like knowing that when I have left the event, or dinner function that they were really glad they had made the decision to use my services.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan to keep it and expand the business. Maybe a restaurant in the future.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I need more of both, but I will be sucessful.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

More advertisement and free samples.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Not enough knowledge on how to use the internet tools to get my webpage a higher ranking, but I am learning.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Internet

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

My existing clients

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I am learning very much on how it functions

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Almost a year, and many more.

Where do you think you will be in five years

I will be one of the best known Personal Chefs in Austin

What is your website address?

Chef Shell P Personal Chef and Catering Services
