Name of your website?

Sultana's Dinner and 1001 Nights Show Istanbul

Your name?

Alp Ayhan

Your Location (city, etc)

Istanbul

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Sultana's Dinner and 1001 Nights Show is a unique venue in Istanbul which showcases delicious Turkish food and a night's Turkish entertainment in the heart of Istanbul. Our website promotes the restaurant and has a number of sections including Belly Dancing and Online Reservations.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Travellers from across the world are now consulting the internet about their choice of destination before they do anything else. We want to be a well ranked website and convey the quality of our establishment through the user friendliness and content of our website.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Back in 1998 a friend and I launched a soccer news website. It was a tough task and didn't last long. But it was fun while it lasted!

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Through the name of our restaurant.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Our content is well written and it looks like the website of a serious and reputable place.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We want to be getting over 50 percent of our bookings through our website.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It's still early days, but we're fully aware that more time dedicated to the website will return in success.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would fully integrate all recent web technologies and increase advertising spend.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

It's been a learning curve. The internet is changing rapidly and SEO is a key field to learn.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting linked to by other sites without spending money.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Directory listings.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

There's always more you can do. You can never sit back and watch.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

1 month.

What content would you like to add to your website?

We want much more media coverage to boast on our website. We want a constant influx of photos to put on our site and even ways for people to order them. We also want to have belly dancing tips, lesson information, videos, recipes for Turkish food and a whole lot more.

What is your website address?
