Two people from Chicago have been brought to the hospital after eating poisonous pufferfish. It was learned that it was imported to the US and was mislabeled with monkfish. Monkfish are harmless fish.

Pufferfish is a known delicacy in Japan but the chef that will cook it must be skilled enough to take the toxic part of the fish before cooking.
