My girlfriend is not a big fan of spaghetti, or any Italian food for that matter. That was always a bummer for me because I absolutely love pasta. My favorite pasta was always the traditional Italian dish, spaghetti! Go figure right. Well I figured I would try and talk her into trying it the way I cooked it. Maybe it would change her mind.
I knew she loved mushrooms. That really helped me because I put them in my sauce and I knew that would help entice her. She agreed to try my spaghetti once. So I got all my ingredients ready that I always use, of course using a little extra mushrooms, and prepared my "go big or go home" meal.
I made our plates and I took hers to her. As soon as she looked at the plate she said, "wow, that does look and smell kinda good". I'm thinking, "yes! thats awesome". She started eating it and she absolutely loved it. She said the flavor was the best she has ever had!
So now every Tuesday in our house we have Spaghetti Night. She always tries to come in the kitchen and see what I put in my sauce but I don't let her see my secrets. I have to take her a sample of the sauce every once in a while im cooking it to keep her satisfied!
